Miami Heat Sign Marty Conlon
MIAMI (AP) _ The Miami Heat signed center Marty Conlon for the rest of the season, the team announced Friday.
The 6-11, 245-pound Conlon played for the Boston Celtics last season, averaging 7.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 74 games. He had been playing in Europe this season.
A six-year NBA veteran, he has averaged 6.7 points in 351 career games.
He was not drafted out of Providence College and played for the CBA’s Rockford Lightning from 1990-91 before signing as a free agent with Seattle. He also has played for Sacramento, Charlotte, Washington and Milwaukee.
