Jake Allen — Football

This season, Lake Havasu senior Jake Allen was the workhorse for the football team’s ground attack.

In nine games played, Allen tallied 786 rushing yards on 122 carries while averaging 87.3-yards per game and 6.4-yards per carry.

Allen had four games where he rushed over 100-yards — all in wins against Lee Williams, Glendale Deer Valley, Mohave and Phoenix Moon Valley — and scored four touchdowns for the Knights this season.

Allen’s biggest game of the year was against Deer Valley, where he led a come from behind 31-24 victory for Havasu.

In that game, Allen ran for three touchdowns, 172-yards and averaged 7.2-yards per carry.

Joshua Hansen — Cross Country

Entering this season with zero wins under his belt, Lake Havasu junior Joshua Hansen made a name for himself by winning his first ten races this season.

The junior led the boys team to a Colorado River Regional Championship and was named the individual regional champion after winning with a time of 16 minutes, 57.1 seconds.

The regional race was also his best of the season as he beat his previous personal best — which came at the Mark Weston Invitational on Sept. 29 — by a second.

Hansen and the Knights also earned a state tournament berth, in which the junior ran a 17:08.4 to finish 30th out of 221 runners.
