LAUGHLIN — General post meeting is at 5 p.m. the last Tuesday of the month. Post 60 Auxiliary Unit meeting is at 4 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month. The post has a Friday night fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. and all menu items are less than $10. Menu includes deep-fried fish, baked fish and shrimp dinners.

The Post 87 Auxiliary Unit meets at the post on the second Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. The women’s auxiliary is seeking new members.

The American Legion Riders meet at 3 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month.

The Sons of the American Legion meets at 10 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at Post 87.

Members breakfast is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon; members fish fry is held every Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

The post, home of the USS Arizona Battleship Monument overlooking the Colorado River, is at 2249 Clearwater Drive in Bullhead City.


MOHAVE VALLEY — The Mohave Valley Post 127 Ladies Auxiliary meets at 9:30 a.m. the third Saturday each month at 7968 King Place in Mohave Valley. The auxiliary is seeking members.

FORT MOHAVE — The AMVETS Post 19 officer meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday each month at the post, 4310 Highway 95 in Fort Mohave. The general meeting will follow after a short break. The post now handles questions for what benefits veterans have coming to them. The post is a non-smoking facility.

The post asks that anyone with a torn or tattered American flag turn the damaged item in at the Fort Mohave Ace Hardware store for proper disposal.


TOPOCK — A new AMVETS Post has formed in Topock. Post 41 meets on the second Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at the VFW Post in Topock. The post is forming a ladies auxiliary.

BULLHEAD CITY — The Bullhead City Flotilla of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary meets at 6 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at Bullhead City Fire Station No. 1, 1260 Hancock Road.

Members are volunteers trained to assist the boating public, inspect pleasure craft for meeting state and federal requirements, and provide boating courses. Pending approval, membership is open to persons 17 and up, past military experience is not required.

BULLHEAD CITY — The Colorado River Chapter of the 1st Marine Division Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting charity organizations associated with the Marine Corps, such as the Semper Fi Fund, Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society, the Blue Diamond Scholarship Fund, other veterans organizations and worthwhile local charities.

Dinner meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Mohave Shrine Club, 2580 Miracle Mile in Bullhead City, at 6:30 p.m. with happy hour at 6 p.m.

The cost is $10 per person. Spouses and guests are welcome.

GOLDEN VALLEY — Fleet Reserve Association Branch 260 meets at 1 p.m. the second Saturday of each month at VFW Post 2555, Colorado and Highway 68 in Golden Valley. Any Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard veteran is eligible for membership.

BULLHEAD CITY — The Northern Arizona Veterans Resource Center is serving veterans in Mohave and La Paz counties from the center in Bullhead City, 1343 Hancock Road in Bullhead City. The phone number is 928-444-1135.

Veterans Resource Centers of America, a nonprofit partnering with the Department of Veteran Affairs, is a national leader of community-based veteran service agencies offering housing assistance, linkage to community services and advocacy at the local, state and national levels.


BULLHEAD CITY — Tri State Military Moms, Inc. is a local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that welcomes all mothers, wives, and female relatives of active duty servicemen and women and veterans of our armed services.

The group’s mission is to support active-duty military personnel with ongoing care packages, and to organize deployment and welcome home events for the men and women of the Tri-state.

BULLHEAD CITY — A fully accredited Arizona Department of Veterans Services benefit counselor is located at 2249 Clearwater Drive adjacent to American Legion Post 87. The office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

MOHAVE VALLEY — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 404 offers a variety of special activities for members and guests.

GOLDEN SHORES — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6306 meets at 5 p.m. and the House Committee meeting is at 4 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month.

The auxiliary meets at 3 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month. On the second Thursday of the month, AMVETS meets at 11 a.m.

Bingo is offered Sundays at 1 p.m. The kitchen is open from noon to 3 p.m. The post conducts darts at 4:30 p.m. Monday, 8-ball pool at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, 9-ball pool at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Queen of Hearts is at 4:30 p.m. with the drawing at 6 p.m. There is Wii bowling at 4 p.m. each Thursday and open pool every Friday from 10 a.m. to close, with mix doubles from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

BULLHEAD CITY — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10005 is at 1611 Marble Canyon Drive. Applications for membership are available at the post.

Proof of eligibility i.e. DD214 or related documents is required.

SF180s are available for those who need to request documents from the National Archives and Records Administration. There is no charge for requesting records.

Sunday breakfast is served from 9 a.m. to noon. Burgers, brats and other items are available from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Breakfast is served from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday with lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.

Post meetings of the VFW are the first Saturday at 10 a.m. The VFW Auxiliary meets the third Wednesday at 3 p.m.
