Passenger killed when car strikes tree in Queens
NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a single car accident in Queens has killed a 36-year-old passenger.
It happened when the driver lost control and struck a tree on South Conduit Avenue near the Nassau Expressway overpass just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
The passenger, identified as Dewayne Williams, of Brooklyn, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
