SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ Sheila McMillen scored 23 points and Ruth Riley had her fourth double-double of the season as No. 6 Notre Dame beat Toledo 82-64 Wednesday night.

The Irish, who are off to the best start in school history at 6-0, led by just one in the opening minutes of the second half. But they then went on an 18-3 run in the next five minutes, including three 3-pointers from McMillen.

Toledo (3-3) got no closer than 11 the rest of the way and trailed by as many as 24 on McMillen's 3 with 6:18 left.

The win was Notre Dame's 15th straight at home, tying the school record that dates back to its Dec. 6, 1997, loss to Connecticut, which visits the Joyce Center on Tuesday.

The Irish, led by 6-foot-5 Riley's 15 points and 17 rebounds, dominated the Rockets inside and outrebounded them 54-38. Riley also registered five blocks as the Irish held Kim Knuth to 17 points, 11 below her season average.

Sherisha Hills and Danielle Green had 12 points apiece for Notre Dame, while Niele Ivey had 10.

Notre Dame opened up its first double-digit lead of the game on Hill's 3-pointer with 7:25 left in the first half and led by as many as 14 four minutes later. But Toledo closed the period with a 10-0 run as the Irish turned the ball over on their final five possessions of the half.
