Reward Offered For Information On Duck Deaths

October 11, 2018

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Borough police are investigating the death of five ducks over the weekend at Bubeck Park.

A metal baseball bat was turned over to police Officer David George on Tuesday by Helen and Paul Seiders, known as the Swan Patrol, Schuylkill Haven Police Chief Jeffrey J. Walcott said Wednesday.

The Seiders said they found five dead ducks in the Schuylkill Haven park earlier in the week. It’s not yet clear whether the bat was used to kill the ducks, but police are investigating.

Today, a Schuylkill Haven businessman who wished to remain anonymous offered a $100 reward for the arrest of those responsible for the killings. Anyone with information should call borough police at 570-385-9111.
