Hartsville man charged with drug possession
HARTSVILLE, S.C. — A Hartsville man, Curtis Michael Dixon, has been arrested on drug charges, according to the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
Dixon, 27, lives on Gadge Drive.
Investigators say Dixon was searched after he told an officer that he had brass knuckles in his pocket. When the officer removed the brass knuckles, a bag of marijuana was found. The search turned up methamphetamine and more marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office.
Dixon has been charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, schedule II, and simple possession of marijuana. Dixon has also been charged with violation of probation by the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. Dixon was in the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center with his bond set at $12,000.
