JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) _ Demetrick Thomas rushed for 130 yards including two touchdowns to lead the Jacksonville State Gamecocks to a 56-6 rout over Knoxville College Saturday.

Thomas led a 451-yard ground attack that was complemented by freshman quarterback JeDarius Isaac, who went 4-for-5 with 130 yards and two TDs.

JSU built a 28-0 lead at the half and came back after the break, exploding for 21 points in the third quarter.

The Gamecocks scored on the second play of the half when Isaac tossed the ball to Battle from 43-yards out. Isaac added a two-yard run and Thomas scored from three yards out to build a 49-6 lead.

Knoxville got on the board after Andre Williams threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Jamall Spencer with 11:10 left in the third quarter, but the try for two failed.

Knoxville’s offense was led by Williams, who threw for 120 yards, while the ground attack was held to just 15 yards.

Thomas scored again with 5:32 left in the game on a 58-yard dash.
