Two-vehicle crash closes SB lane on Merritt Parkway
A two-vehicle accident on the Merritt Parkway is causing big southbound delays Tuesday morning.
The crash, reported at 8:48 a.m., has closed the right lane between Exits 44 in Fairfield and 42 in Westport.
The state Department of Transportation says southboard traffic is congested more than 21 miles from Exit 44 and 31.
Avereage speed is between 21 and 25 mph, according to the DOT.
In Greenwich, a disabled tractor-trailer truck with a fuel leak is causing northbound delays on I-95.
The right lane has been closed all morning between Exits 3 and 4 as cleanup continues.
Shortly before 9 a.m., there was 2.5 miles of traffic cogestion on I-95 between the New York state line and Exit 4.
