FREELIN ‘JIM’ PERRY of Wilsondale

FREELIN “JIM” PERRY, 77, of Wilsondale, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 25, 2019, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1942, at Wilsondale, a son of the late Esta Perry Adkins. He was an employee of Maximus Ready Mix Company and was a member of the Echo United Baptist Church for 46 years. Brothers Larry Adkins, Ivory, Troy and Esau Perry Jr., and sisters Bessie Gilbert, Venetia Perry, Barbara Maynard and Gladys Pridemore, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Esta Caldwell Perry; five daughters, Vickie Marie Romans (Paul), Maggie Marcum (Kevin), Jewell Spaulding (Danny) and Diana Perry (Glen); his special “little girl,” Rebecca Perry; two sons, James Freelin Perry (Melissa) and John Denvil Perry (Lisa); five sisters, Juanita Toppins, Mable Murphy, Ruth Marie, Donna Morris and Mona Adkins; three brothers, Roger Adkins, Lowell Thomas Perry and Jim Maynard; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 201, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., with Elders Tony Clay and Richard Damron officiating. Burial followed in the Jim Perry Cemetery at Wilsondale.
