Darlington man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor
DARLINGTON, S.C. – A Darlington County man was arrested Monday and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Johnny Calhoun McInville, III, 48, of Darlington, on one charge connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators state McInville possessed child pornography.
McInville posted a $10,000 cash or surety bond and was released Tuesday.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Attorney General’s Office made the arrest. Investigators with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and United States Secret Service, both also members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the execution of the search warrant and arrest.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree is a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
