Pedestrian Struck by Truck in Longmont in July Fined for Jaywalking
A pedestrian who was seriously injured in July when he was struck by a pickup truck while jaywalking was found guilty by default and fined Tuesday.
Robert Muehlebach, 44, had been cited for failing to cross at a crosswalk . He was fined $135, according to municipal court records.
Muehlebach was jaywalking across Main Street north of 23rd Street on July 17 when he was struck by a 1998 GMC pickup truck, according to Longmont police.
He was taken to Longmont United Hospital with serious lower body injuries.
