Grain futures, livestock prices rise
CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures were mostly higher Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for September delivery was unchanged at $6.6950 a bushel; September corn rose 9 cents to $5.4525 a bushel; September oats rose 1 cent to $3.5425 a bushel; while August soybeans surged 21.5 cents to $14.7525 a bushel.
Beef was mostly lower while pork prices rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August live cattle fell 0.33 cent to $1.2212 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.10 cent to $1.5255 a pound; August lean hogs rose 0.75 cent to $0.9630 cents a pound.
