Cumberland Christian school teacher faces student sex charges
A teacher at Liberty Christian Academy in Cumberland County faces charges of inappropriate conduct with a student, authorities said Friday.
Loretta Nelsen, 40, of Hope Mills, was arrested Thursday on charges of solicitation of a child by computer or certain other electronic devices to commit an unlawful sex act, two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of indecent liberties with a student.
Investigators said that Nelson exchanged inappropriate text messages with a student in November, engaging in sexual conversations and sending explicit photos.
