Aiken Antique Show turns 20 this weekend
The Aiken Antique Show and Sale proves that all that glitters is not gold.
The annual show is celebrating its 20th year of bringing vintage items from clothing to botanical prints and so much more to the Aiken area.
The Aiken Antique Show and Sale opened Thursday night with a preview party, and will be open to the public through Sunday at the Aiken Center for the Arts, 122 Laurens St. S.W, in downtown Aiken.
The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets are $15 per person and are good for all three days.
One of the Southeast’s most distinctive events, the Aiken Antique Show and Sale features vintage pieces for gardens in addition to high-quality antique furniture, paintings, lighting, jewelry and rugs. Visitors will be able to engage with antiques dealers from throughout the Southeast during the show and sale.
The show features 22 dealers. A sample of their offerings will include English, American, French and Italian furnishings; silver and gold plate; rare books and prints; original artwork; sporting art; fine porcelains and linens; estate jewelry; antique garden ornaments; and much more.
During the show, the Collectors’ Cafe will offer signature soups, salads, sandwiches, daily specials and desserts – all homemade by the best in Aiken, according to a news release.
The cafe will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 2 and from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 3. Drinks and desserts only will be sold from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 2.
A special Bloody Mary bar, featuring Seaside Grown Bloody Mary Mix courtesy of Barbara Sue and Brad Brodie, will be available on Sunday.
The Aiken Antique Show and Sale is a fundraising event to support the Aiken Center for the Arts’ mission to inspire, engage and educate by providing unique visual and performing arts experiences for all ages.
