Puerto Rico to build boardwalk in tourist district
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico’s government is building a $28 million boardwalk to connect historic Old San Juan with nearby areas popular with tourists.
Gov. Alejandro Garcia Padilla says the boardwalk will give pedestrians and cyclists easier access to places such as the trendy Condado district and the capital’s convention center.
He said Thursday that the project will will create nearly 300 jobs.
