Hunters Helping the Hungry Program accepting more deer after monetary donations from Game and Parks Commission
LINCOLN - The Hunters Helping the Hungry Program has announced it will now be able to accept more deer for processing after receiving hefty donations from the Game and Parks Commission.
Spokeswoman Theresa Lombard with the Program says the donations will help keep the program running in the short term, but notes if more donations aren’t received, the program won’t be able to keep up with processing costs.
The program allows hunters to donate hunted deer to be processed it and distributed it to food pantries statewide.
If you want to donate, you can do so at the Game and Parks website.
