MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Police say a Tennessee man has been charged with hitting an officer with his car during an attempted arrest.

The Shelby County district attorney’s office said Thursday that 23-year-old Quintavious Cunningham has been indicted on charges including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, vandalism and theft.

Memphis police said officers were serving a drug warrant on a man who was a passenger in a car Cunningham was driving on Jan 2. Police said Cunningham rammed one of the police vehicles and struck one of the officers with his car.

The injured officer was taken to a hospital with cuts and bruises.

Cunningham is being held on $150,000 bond. The Associated Press was unable to find a current phone number for his attorney, and she could not be reached for comment.
