Pittsburgh date part of Ariana Grande’s ‘Sweetener’ world tour
Multiplatinum pop and R&B singer Ariana Grande will play PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on June 12 as part of her The Sweetener World Tour.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Nov. 5 at ticketmaster.com.
American Express Card members can purchase tickets from 10 a.m. Nov. 1 through 10 p.m. Nov. 3 local time.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour’s first leg will kick off March 18 in Albany, N.Y., and continue through June 18 in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
At 25, Grande has delivered three platinum-selling albums and surpassed 18 billion streams, in addition to nabbing four Grammy Award nominations and landing eight hits in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, according to a release.
She also appeared on Time’s 2016 “100 Most Influential People” list.
Grande has acted on Broadway and on television’s “Scream Queens,” “Hairspray Live!” and “Saturday Night Live.”
Her recent single “No Tears Left To Cry” debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in 88 countries worldwide, making her the first artist in music history to see the lead single from her first four albums debut on the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100, according to the release.
“Sweetener,” which gives her upcoming tour its name, was released in August and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album chart.
Grande also has been in the news lately for her much-publicized relationships with comedian Pete Davidson and the late rapper and Pittsburgh native Mac Miller.
