Utah County Republicans choose new state House rep
PROVO, Utah (AP) — The Utah County Republican Party has filled a vacancy in the Utah State House of Representative created after Keith Grover moved on to a vacant seat in the Utah Senate.
Utah County Republican Chairman Rob Craig announced Thursday that Marsha Judkins will join the state House of Representatives.
The Daily Herald reports Judkins is filling in for Grover, who moved on to the state Senate after longtime Sen. Margaret Dayton of Orem resigned due to health issues.
Grover’s term in the House would have ended in December.
Judkins is currently an adjunct professor at Utah Valley University.
She says her volunteer experience, education experience and work with the Provo neighborhood department have prepared her for the position.
She says education will be at the top of her list of priorities.
