Lorain Elizabeth Hicks, 86, of Kingsport, Tenn., passed away Monday (Nov. 5, 2018) at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, following a brief illness.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in East Lawn Memorial Park, Mausoleum 2, Kingsport, with the Rev. Jack Wiekel officiating.
She was born Dec. 23, 1931, in Aroma Township, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Brinkman.
Lorain was a homemaker.
She married Roger Hicks, in Kankakee. He survives, of St. Anne.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Vicki Hicks, of Elgin; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Phil Heidt, of Kingsport; brothers and sisters-in-law, Morris and Sherry Brinkman, and Melvin and Patricia Brinkman; sister and brother-in-law, Viola and the late Marlin Kane; five grandchildren, Jolynne Heidt, Katie Heidt and Marci Heidt, of Kingsport, and Ryan Hicks and Jacob Hicks, of Elgin.
In addition to her brother-in-law, Melvin, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Dolly Brinkman; and sister and brother-in-law, Doris and William Burr.
