EMS Memorial Bike Ride stops in Stamford
Muddy Angels National EMS Memorial Bike Ride participants made a stop for lunch at the Fire Department Headquarters in Stamford on Monday.
The seven-day ride challenges riders with rural, suburban, and metropolitan terrain as they raise awareness of the mission and sacrifices made by EMS providers.
Monday’s leg traveled from Milford to Yonkers, N.Y. while making a stop in Stamford. Participants honored fallen EMS responders by annoucing their names and ringing a bell in short ceremony after lunch.
140 participants are traveling from Boston to Annaplois, M.D. and meeting up with a group of 49 riders coming from Raleigh, N.C. before riding into the nation’s capital together on Sunday.
