Tribute to the Police set for Zumbrota’s State Theatre

September 7, 2018
Toast in the Machine -- Police Cover Band

The Police tribute band Toast in the Machine brings the sound and energy of The Police to life. Formed by three Minneapolis musicians with years of experience, this is arguably their best show.

ZUMBROTA — Toast in the Machine, a Police tribute band, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at the State Theatre in Zumbrota.

The band, based in the Twin Cities, takes its name from the 1981 Police album “Ghost in the Machine.” That album contained the hits “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” and “Spirits in the Material World.”

Other Police hits that will be heard in this show include “Don’t Stand So Close to Me,” “Every Breath You Take” and “King of Pain.”

Like the Police, Toast in the Machine is a three-piece band, with Andy Schultz on vocals, Andy Deckard on drums and TC Ortberg on guitars/keyboards.

Opening the show will be Twin Lakes, a folk-rock band from Rochester.

Tickets are $22 in advance, $26 at the door, available through Crossings at Carnegie, 507-732-7616 and crossingsatcarnegie.com.
