Man injured in I-5 collision
A 67-year-old Snohomish man was injured in a collision Sunday evening on Interstate 5, according to a news release from the State Patrol.
The man was driving a motorcycle about 6 p.m. when he merged onto I-5 from Highway 20.
However, the man continued straight over a grass embankment, the release states, and was struck by a southbound Toyota Prius.
The motorcyclist went over the guardrail and came to a rest in a northbound lane of I-5, the report states.
The motorcyclist was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The driver of the Prius was uninjured.
