Arkansas woman killed by hit-and-run on Mississippi highway
GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Authorities have identified an Arkansas woman who was killed in an apparent hit-and-run incident on a highway in Mississippi.
The Delta Democrat-Times reports that 33-year-old Debra A. Bradley of Lake Village, Arkansas, was killed early Friday. Her body was found on U.S. Highway 82 in Greenville.
Sgt. Ronnie Shive says Bradley was struck in the eastbound lane of the highway near a bridge that crosses the Mississippi River to connect the two states.
Sheriff’s deputies from Washington County, Mississippi, responded to the scene. A truck driver said he saw Bradley walking west along the highway on the Arkansas side of the bridge about 3:30 a.m. Friday.
Shive says there are no other witnesses, and no debris was left that could help determine the make and model of the vehicle.
