Bismarck man pleads not guilty in fatal shooting over debt
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man accused in a fatal shooting that police say resulted from an argument over a money debt has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
Thirty-five-year-old Aundra Fontenot is accused of shooting Derrick Left Hand in the chest with a handgun and killing him on June 14.
Fontenot on Monday also pleaded not guilty to a weapons charge. His trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 7. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
