The 27th annual Christmas in Hopelands event will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. today. The walk-through exhibit will feature more than 2 miles of lighted pathways and illuminated displays. Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. on the Roland H. Windham Performings Arts Stage. Brooke Lundy will perform Christmas classics today. Shuttles will run from Citizens Park, 1060 Banks Mill Road. A Harry Potter Movie Marathon will be held Thursday to Saturday at the Aiken County Public Library, 314 Chesterfield St. S.W. “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” rated PG, will be shown at noon; “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” rated PG, will be shown at 3 p.m.; and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” rated PG, will be shown at 6 p.m. on Thursday. “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” rated PG-13, and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” rated PG-13, will be shown at 3 p.m. Friday. “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” rated PG, will be shown at 10:15 a.m.; “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I,” rated PG-13, will be shown at 1 p.m.; and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2,” will be shown at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Martha Schofield High School will celebrate its 150th anniversary Friday to Sunday. A welcome fellowship and worship event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church, 515 Richland Ave. N.E. Saturday’s events will feature a brunch, history forum and campus tour will be held from 10 a.m. to noon; a legacy basketball game and old time pep rally from noon to 2 p.m. on the Martha Schofield Campus, 224 Kershaw St. N.E.; and a banquet and dance at 6 p.m. at the Aiken County Shriners Club, 1526 Columbia Highway. Tickets for the banquet are $40 per person, and is limited to 300 people. A Gospel Praise Concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Thankful Grove Baptist Church in Windsor. Choices – A Lifetime Development will hold a Winter Gala scholarship fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, at the North Augusta Municipal Center, 100 Georgia Ave., North Augusta. Tickets are $75 per person and include appetizers, social hour and dinner. Dress is formal.
