Bear Lake County warns motorists of elk herd
BEAR LAKE — The Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office is warning motorists to be on the lookout for a large herd of elk that has been in the area of Highway 30 between Georgetown and Bennington.
The sheriff’s office posted the warning on its Facebook page. According to the sheriff’s office, the herd frequently crosses the highway, and their presence in the area is a normal occurrence during this season. Sheriff’s officials said no traffic accidents had been reported involving the elk through Monday.
