Registration open for Northern Illinois Crop Management Conference
Spring is less than two months away. A great way to prepare for the 2019 cropping season is to attend the Northern Illinois Crop Management Conference on Feb. 20.
“We are excited to return to the Kishwaukee College Conference Center this year,” said Russ Higgins, University of Illinois Extension educator. “In addition to other topics, we will address northern and western corn rootworm beetle populations, weed management, dicamba and tar spot.”
Certified crop advisers can earn up to eight hours of continuing education credit (4 PM, 2 SW, 1 NM, 1 CM). The cost is $100 per person with advance registration by Feb. 13. Late and on-site registration is $120 per person.
The event features a great lineup of speakers, including Adam Davis, head of the Crop Sciences Department at the University of Illinois. Davis will share information on “Building Resilient Agricultural Systems,” as well as an update on the department and future partnerships with northern Illinois agriculturists.
