West Virginia first lady, artists unveil holiday ornament
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia first lady Cathy Justice has unveiled this year’s Governor’s Mansion holiday ornament.
Justice’s office says the limited-edition wooden ornament features an outline of the state and a painted pattern of red, green and gold.
The ornaments cost $25 and are available at the West Virginia Culture Center in Charleston and at Tamarack in Beckley.
The ornaments were made by Charleston artists Casi Pourfarhadi and Maddie Farmer.
Justice says the ornaments are made out of sugar maple and showcase the state’s timber industry.
