FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) — With Halloween just weeks away, a workshop about ghost stories will be presented at Fairmont State University.

Storyteller Jo Ann Dadisman will lead the program at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center. It is free and open to the public.

Fairmont State said in a news release that Dadisman is an active member of the West Virginia Storytelling Guild. The statewide organization promotes both storytelling in the oral tradition and the preservation and understanding of mountain culture.

Dadisman is a career educator who taught undergraduate writing classes for Potomac State and West Virginia University.
