Referrals now being accepted at opioid clinic

August 29, 2018

JUNEAU -- Referrals are now being accepted for a treatment program to help people in Dodge County who are suffering from opioid use.

The initiative started with a state grant awarded to both Dodge and Fond du Lac counties to meet the needs of individuals on a regional basis who are struggling with addiction. The program also includes a Milwaukee based non-profit called Justice Point.

Dodge County Health and Human Services Director Rebecca Bell said if an individual is worried about an individual they can call her department at 920-386-3500 for a referral so they can start treatment services through Justice Point.

Bell said the treatment program offers outpatient services, day treatments, intensive outpatient programming, detox services and residential treatment. Bell said there is money available for transportation which can help individuals who may not otherwise find a ride to an appointment.

She said funding runs through April of 2019 but stressed that a successful program can get additional funding for four more years.

All assessments are conducted at the Dodge County Human Services and Health Department located at 199 County Highway DF in the Henry Dodge Office Building in Juneau.
