BlackBerry: Fiscal 1Q Earnings Snapshot
WATERLOO, Ontario (AP) _ BlackBerry Ltd. (BB) on Wednesday reported a loss of $35 million in its fiscal first quarter.
The Waterloo, Ontario-based company said it had a loss of 9 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 1 cent per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 1 cent per share.
The cybersecurity software and services company posted revenue of $247 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $267 million.
BlackBerry shares have increased 17% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 17% in the last 12 months.
