Bronx man gets up to 8 years in prison for drug possession
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A New York City man caught with drugs in his car after a traffic stop in Pittsfield last year has been sentenced to up to eight years in prison.
The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1YDcQCA ) reports that Ricky Williams was sentenced after pleading guilty to possession of heroin with intent to distribute and other charges.
The Bronx man was pulled over Nov. 20 after an officer confirmed that his license had been suspended.
Prosecutors say police found 60 bags of heroin, two bags of crack cocaine and a bag of powdered cocaine worth approximately $2,000 in his vehicle.
The 38-year-old Williams had previous drug convictions in three states.
