No. 15 Arkansas 67, San Francisco 58

SEATTLE (AP) _ Kelly Johnson scored six points and Stephanie Bloomer scored five during a 15-0 run that put No. 15 Arkansas ahead for good in a 67-58 victory over San Francisco in an NCAA Mideast regional first-round game Thursday night.

Bloomer started Arkansas’ decisive run with a reverse layup seven minutes into the second half. Karen Jones’ free throw with seven minutes remaining capped the run and put the Lady Razorbacks up 54-45.

Arkansas (23-6) held the Lady Dons scoreless for nearly six minutes in the second half while taking control of the game.

Bloomer scored 18 points for Arkansas, while Jones added 17 points and nine rebounds and Johnson chipped in 14 points.

San Francisco (24-5), making its first NCAA tourney appearance, shot just 35 percent. The loss broke a 16-game winning streak for the Lady Dons, the longest in school history.

Brittany Lindhe scored 21 points for San Francisco, while Renee Demirdjian and Jamie Shadian each had 11.
