LHS crowns homecoming queen, king

October 8, 2018

There was no suspense when the Liberty Panthers played Huntington for their homecoming game. The Panthers took a commanding 28-0 lead into halftime and coasted the second half to a 45-7 victory over the Red Devils.

During halftime, the Liberty High School student council sponsored the annual homecoming court and there was plenty of suspense with the announcement of the homecoming queen. With five candidates, there was a grand pause as the announcer pronounced the winner of voting by her peers and Gracie Motschman took her place in LHS history as the 2018 Homecoming Queen. Earlier, Sabastian Urbina was announced as the 2018 Homecoming King.

The king candidates were Hayden Chapman, Carter Haidusek, Keaton Parker, Urbina, and J. J. Slack.

The flower arrangements given to the ladies were provided by Brittany Purswell and the Liberty High School floral design classes.
