Man charged with 2 felonies in beating
A 20-year-old man was charged Thursday with two felony counts after being accused of beating a man with four others in September.
The victim had stepped outside of his apartment to smoke when Har San drove up to him about 11 p.m.
San and four other people in the vehicle had a couple of beers with the victim then invited him to come along with them somewhere, according to court documents.
The victim agreed to go with them.
San and his accomplices drove behind an unidentified Walmart and forced him out of the car. Then San, of the 2100 block of Chartwell Drive, poured liquor down the victim’s mouth against his will, according to court documents.
When he asked San to stop bullying him, San and the four others started to kick and hit him all over his body. The victim asked his tormentors to take him home, so they did.
When they arrived back at his apartment, San got out of the vehicle with the victim, who threatened to call police. San then took a lug wrench, and struck him on the head several times.
The victim’s wife saw her husband bleeding and called police, court documents said.
The victim received six stitches in his head due to the injury.
His wife stayed at the apartment while the victim went to the hospital. She told police San took a wooden stake and broke one of their apartment’s windows and then took off in a vehicle, court documents said.
San was charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury with a misdemeanor charge for criminal mischief. There is a warrant for his arrest.
