Cabell County student artwork featured at the Tamarack

BECKLEY — Students from Barboursville Middle School and Huntington High School recently had their art pieces on exhibit at the Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia. The Tamarack Youth Arts Gallery Exhibition “Mix It Up!” was for West Virginia students grades K-12. Students were encouraged to use mixed media.

Barboursville Middle School: Jasmin Chapman, Mckenzie Cupp, Barrett Erwin, Cody Hatfield, Laura Jiang, Arianna Lambert, Allie Miles, Kaileigh Murphy, Grace Napier, Kori Smith, Maggie Tatum, Lindsay Thompson.

Huntington High School: Sidney McCoy and Katrina Roy.

Also, Kile Minnix, a Kindergarten student from Nichols Elementary School and Sidney McCoy, a Junior at Huntington High School, were selected to have their art pieces displayed at the Youth Art Month art show at the Tamarack. They were two of 68 students accepted into the juried exhibit out of 329 entries. The exhibit is currently up and will be on display until April 1, 2019.
