Storm matmen still unbeaten
Cleveland High School won its second wrestling tourney title in as many weeks last Saturday at the 17-team Jaguar Invitational at Capital High.
The Storm had seven champs: 106-Estevan Encinias, 113-Tristan Mascarenas, 126-Samuel Montoya, 138-Joseph Otero, 145-Anthony Bachicha, 160-Rope Harrison and 285-Austin Roman.
Cleveland had three runners-up: 132-Santiago Marquez, 170-Kymani Castillo and 195-Gabe Garcia.
“We are on the right track as of now,” CHS coach Evan Copeland said. “We have to continue to do things the right way, get better every day and work as hard as we can for as long as it takes.”
The Storm were in Loveland this weekend for the 72-team Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament.
