ATHENS, Ga. (AP) _ Camille Lowe scored 19 points to lead six double-figure scorers as No. 24 Georgia defeated Mercer 99-69 Friday night for its first victory of the season.
The Lady Bulldogs, who had lost their first three games, took control in the first half.
Lowe, Lady Hardmon, Deborah Carter and Vicky Jones scored Georgia’s first 22 points and combined for 36 in the first half as the team took a 51-31 lead.
Carter ended with 13, Jones and Miriam Lowe each had 12, Hardmon had 11 and Medina Turner added 10.
Andrea Congreaves led Mercer with 32 points, hitting 10 of 15 from the field, including two 3-pointers.
Georgia hit nearly 57 per cent from the field, while Mercer shot less than 43 per cent.
