Malaysian top business executive killed in plane crash
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) _ One of Malaysia’s leading businessmen was among three people killed in a helicopter crash, the national news agency reported Tuesday.
Yahaya Ahmad, chairman and chief executive officer of DRB-Hicom Group, and his wife, Rohana Osman, were killed in a helicopter crash near Kuala Lipis, 72 miles northeast of Kuala Lumpur, Bernama reported.
A DRB spokesman, Fairuz Abu Samah, said the couple was traveling from the capital to Kuala Trengganu, 180 miles northeast of here, Bernama reported.
Police said the charred bodies were taken to Kuala Lipis government hospital and would be flown to the Kuala Trengganu government hospital for autopsies.
