Ex-House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger had a lot of stuff in his office: See the list

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Busts, bobbleheads, coins and pens snatched from bill signings were among hundreds of political knicknacks and memorabilia packed up from former House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger’s office after he resigned in April.

A 53-page inventory of items stored in his office and a closet in the Riffe Center here was among thousands of pages released by the House speaker’s office Monday. Rosenberger resigned April 12 amid an FBI investigation into his travel with lobbyists for the payday loan industry.

Rosenberger’s attorney, David Axelrod, has said the Clinton County Republican has acted “lawfully and ethically.” Axelrod did not return a phone call seeking comment on Monday.

It was no secret Rosenberger, 37, was a history buff and political junkie, and the list of items collected shows he kept photos and trinkets throughout his short political career. The list also includes nine boxes of books, artwork and several bags of commemorative coins.

Rosenberger worked as an assistant to George W. Bush, and he kept several photos of him with Bush and members of the Bush family, as well as a bobblehead, bust and several books penned by the former president.
