— NURSE-INMATE SEX — Police officers say their training kicked in when they resuscitated a 2-year-old who was found unresponsive in a swimming pool in New Jersey’s largest city.

— POLICE SHOOTING-TEEN KILLED — A Pennsylvania city council has voted to ask the governor and state Senate to remove their mayor over comments she made on social media suggesting people protesting the police killing of an unarmed black teenager be hit with water cannons.

— PHILADELPHIA ROWHOME FIRE-TWO DEAD — Firefighters have found a man and a woman dead inside a burning Philadelphia rowhome.
