Rudolph Technologies: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
WILMINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Rudolph Technologies Inc. (RTEC) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $14.7 million.
On a per-share basis, the Wilmington, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 45 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 51 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 49 cents per share.
The maker of equipment to help chip manufacturers test for defects posted revenue of $77.5 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $78 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Rudolph Technologies expects its per-share earnings to range from 30 cents to 40 cents.
Rudolph Technologies shares have risen 23 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $29.30, an increase of 25 percent in the last 12 months.
