Realtor of the week: Jennings: Real estate is ‘about people’

August 18, 2016

Bet Jennings, a Realtor and broker associate with Greenwood King Properties, has always been involved with some area of real estate for the past 28 years.

“When I was young, my father told me real estate would always be there, and they were not making any more land. He also showed me the investment side when I was a teenager, and I took his advice,” Jennings said.

Jennings has a broad focus area, from Memorial to Galveston and from Houston to Austin.

In Galveston, where she owns a home and lives part time, she works with clients from the beach to the bay. Moreover, she usually gives clients a boat tour of the area prior to showing homes.

“The perspective from the water is different than when showing a home, so I take clients on my boat for a tour,” Jennings said.

She also works with those interested in farms and ranches, a field of real estate where she has a strong background.

As a fifth-generation Houstonian, she knows Houston and the surrounding areas.

Extra mile

Plus, she is known for going the extra mile for her clients. For example, when she lists a home she prepares the home inside and outside, including landscaping, so it is show ready. She also educates her clients so they are familiar with the process.

She also has gone the extra mile in expanding her education, with seven designations/certifications, to insure her clients have the latest information and services.

Those designations include Accredited Home staging Specialist, Graduate Real Estate Institute, Master Certified Negotiation Specialist, Certified Negotiation Specialist, Resort and Second Home Specialist, and Senior Real Estate Specialist,

All of her experience, skills, knowledge and education have lead to the honor of her being in Greenwood King’s Top Producer Club.

“Real estate is about people and I really care about my clients. This is why I put in the hours and do all that I do, because for me, again, real estate is about my clients,” Jennings said.
