NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Pete Mickeal’s 15 points led four players in double figures today as Cincinnati, without injured All-American Kenyon Martin, routed North Carolina Wilmington 64-47 in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

The Bearcats (29-3), seeded No. 2 in the South region, had no trouble overcoming the loss of their leading scorer and rebounder.

Ryan Fletcher, who started in Martin’s place, scored 10 points, including a resounding dunk at the end of the first half that sent Cincinnati into the locker room with a 26-14 lead.

North Carolina Wilmington (18-13) suffered through a dreadful shooting day, hitting just six of 28 attempts in the first half and shooting 29 percent for the game. Victor Ebong led the Seawolves with 15 points.
