Tempur Sealy: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ Tempur Sealy International Inc. (TPX) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $41.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Lexington, Kentucky-based company said it had profit of 74 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 79 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 68 cents per share.
The mattress maker posted revenue of $722.8 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $725.4 million.
Tempur Sealy shares have climbed 88% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 52% in the last 12 months.
