Carmichael Stars but Tyngsboro Falls Short

CHELMSFORD -- Quarterback Tucker Carmichael ran for a score and threw a touchdown pass in Tyngsboro’s 24-21 loss to Northbridge in a non-league football game Saturday night at Chelmsford High.

Tyngsboro (2-0) led 14-6 at halftime. After falling behind, 24-21, the Tigers scored the game’s final TD, cutting the deficit to seven points in the fourth quarter.

Evan Robson scored two touchdowns for the Tigers. Robson put Tyngsboro in front 7-0 with a 23 yard TD run in the first quarter. Justin Huberty kicked the conversion after all three Tyngsboro touchdowns.

Carmichael scored on a 2-yard run to put Tyngsboro up 14-6 at the break.

In the fourth quarter, Carmichael hooked up with Robson on a 53 yard TD pass. Carmichael completed 17 of 24 passes for 192 yards, while rushing the football 11 times for 69 yards.

Robson caught four passes for 78 yards.

Josh Ducharme and Connor Graham helped lead the way on defense with 1 interception each.

Tyngsboro will play host to Maynard in a Mid-Wach matchup next Friday night.
