Point of Interest: Developer restores condemned Stamford firehouse

November 20, 2018

670 Pacific St.: Building and Land Technology in recent weeks began restoring this condemned firehouse, installing steel beams to support the old brick building. The old wooden supports long rotted away, Chief Operating Officer Ted Ferrarone said. The next step will be to replace the caved-in roof, he told members of the South End’s Neighborhood Revitalization Zone. Preservationists and neighbors have pushed to see something happen with the old firehouse for years.
