Arrest made in shooting in North Carolina’s capital city
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A man has been arrested in a weekend shooting death in North Carolina’s Capital city.
Police spokeswoman Donna-maria Harris said in a news release Monday morning that 22-year-old Ausban Monroe has been charged with murder. He’s being held in the Wake County jail. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.
Police were called to a shooting around 2 a.m. Sunday. Officers found 20-year-old Lazarus Gary Hohn. He was taken to WakeMed hospital where he died.
A witness told police that some young people gathered at the scene around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and there was some loud music and talking, followed by a gunshot.
